Nottingham Lace
The development of the Nottingham Lace Curtain Machine took place in the mid 19 th Century. The description ‘Nottingham Lace' applies to the machine on which the Lace is manufactured. The only Nottingham Lace looms are now found in Scotland and brought to you is lace from the only mill that's left weaving cotton lace for the top-end soft furnishing industry.

Madras
The manufacture of Madras originally started as a handloom or cottage industry dating back as far as the early 18 th Century. Handlooms were used until the advent of power.
The Madras weave is a twist gauze forming a stable cotton sheer base cloth on which the jacquard pattern weft is woven. Now alternative patterned yarn can also be incorporated into a Madras fabric. A diverse choice of traditional ivory and natural shades of madras alongside the innovative use of colour combined with brushed lambs-wool, viscose, linen and cotton slub .
